Investing in Rubidium

Rubidium is an alkali metal and the second most electropositive of the stable alkaline elements. Its name comes from the reddish-violet color it gives to a flame. It is the 16th most abundant in the earth's crust, and is commercially extracted from the mineral lepidolite.

Rubidium has been considered for use in a magnetohydrodynamic thermoelectric generator. Rubidium-87 vapor is commonly used in laser cooling and Bose-Einstein condensation.
